Posa’s tamales are fully cooked. We suggest the following method for reheating and serving. Boil-in-bag heating instructions. Bring 5 quarts of water to a full boil in a large pot and submerge the unopened sealed bag for 30 minutes or until the tamales reach 140°F.
Use a steamer or a pot with a vegetable colander placed above the water. Steam the tamales in the sealed bag or open to reheat individual tamales in the colander. All other heating methods will dry out the tamales.
Once the tamales are hot, they may be enjoyed as is or smothered in red or green chile with melted cheddar & Monterey Jack cheese on top.
