(Posa’s) Tamales are fully cooked. We suggest the following method for reheating and serving. Boil-in-bag heating instructions. Bring 5 quarts of water to a full boil in a large pot and submerge bag for 30 minutes or until the Tamales reach 140°F.
Use a steamer or a pot with a vegetable colander placed above the water. Steam the tamales until they are hot throughout. Steaming tamales will keep them moist and tasty. All other heating methods will dry out the tamales.
Once the tamales are hot they may be enjoyed as is or smothered in red or green chile with melted cheddar & Monterey Jack cheese on top.
